The 6th Jecheon International Music and Film Festival

July 12 17

Koreas only Music Film Festival, located in the lush rural surroundings of Jecheon, is nearly upon us again. My name is David Oxenbridge and I have been recruited to let English speakers know a little bit about the festival. The festival is already popular with Koreans but until now they have not marketed the festival to English speakers I am hoping that I will be able introduce the festival to English speakers so that you can all have a chance to experience the music, the movies and the beautiful collision of both together. This all takes place in Jecheon, in the scenic region of Chungcheongbukdo, just two hours away from Seoul close to fjord like setting of the Cheongpung lake.

As for the programme is an exciting and ecliptic programme where just one factor intertwines all the choices music. This obviously gives the programmers wide scope from which to choose as you will see when you see the programme. This includes movies with a central theme about music, themes with strong scores, documentaries about music and many other kinds of music related films including shorts. Not only that but there will be performances and concerts held the whole way through which are all free of charge. Many of these take place right beside the lake. Highlights here are films, played under the stars accompanied by a live score.

I have a heap more information on my official blogs, about the festival and the area as well as a face book and Twitter page. I will be updating these sites regularly so please note that there will be more information. Please check these out and feel free to get back to me. Please spread the word and let others who dont know about become aware.
