Hi,
I have been in contact with 3 companies in Busan - YBM ECC, Avalon and CDI. Does anyone have experience with these companies in this particular city?
Thank you. |

They're pretty much all the same horrible places to work. |

I don't think this is going to be very much help to you...but there is a lot of info here on Dave's about each of those hagwons. Also, doing a Google search about either of those companies will yield you many results. They're all very big companies, and receive fairly mixed reviews. From what I know, YBM and CDI depend on location as far as how you're treated. So you should search for more info about that...
Also, I've heard that CDI is very reliable in terms of pay, but they "overwork" their employees. I'm not sure what "overwork" entails, so I'd look into that as well.
Anyway, good luck~ |

On the surface ECC seems the most legit. I think ECC does not franchise, so it follows the laws. However, Avalon and CDI franchise so these places use the big name but cut corners, break laws, and work you. BUT they will pay on time.
Overall, it depends on the branch, so ask to talk to current and past teachers for a true account of the school. |
