Hello!
I have a (maybe strange) question. My boyfriend will be receiving checks made out to himself from the USA while we are in Seoul. He will be there on a tourist visa, and so as far as I know will be unable to open a bank account in his name. Will he be able to deposit checks into a Korean bank account in my name?
Thanks for any help! |

Have them send cash, do a bank wire direct to you or use Western union.
The chance of being able to successfully negotiate those checks are slim at best and the service fees will bite as hard as western union.

Don't take my word on this 100%, but I believe that KEB (Korea Exchange Bank) will sign up anyone with a valid passport... even tourists. I'm pretty sure you just need a passport and money. |
