Hello everyone,

I was just hoping to get information on this specific school. I have gleaned quite a bit of insight on the state of Avalon. It seems the experiences vary depending on the location and whether or not it is a franchise school. Any information on this school would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Andrew

I'm sorry, but Avalon are widely regarded as crooks. I would not sign with them. I have no further information.

If you do a forum search you will find mixed reviews. They seem to be best for new teachers. They honour contracts and pay you your money on time, but there is a 'who cares' attitude to the teaching. It might be good to grind your teeth with them for a year, but if you want to improve your teaching then you'll need to move on.

Individual branches have a better chance of getting positive reviews than a chain as a whole.

MoonKang in Daegu. I know a lot of folks who work there and in my "guesstimation" I'd say 80% of them are happy....check it

I've heard only positive reviews of the Avalon organization as a whole, especially for new teachers. I just wondered (along with andrew up above) if anyone had any experiences with this specific branch.

I know there are at least 2 avalons in daegu. Which one will you be working at? I have/had friends who work at one of the branches and while it wasn't the best job in the world, they didn't have any major complaints.
