If you break a contract, are you still able to collect a refund?
Do you need a letter of release or just a plane ticket?

Yes, you can still collect. You'll need your ARC, plane ticket and bank info when you go to pension office. The pension office will also need to verify that your employment will be ending.

The bank information probably should be a bank at home, yeah? I believe my KEB account will terminate along with my visa. Is that correct?

A termination statement would be good, but they will still likely call your school to confirm. You'll also have to exit the country usually before they will deposit the refund to your account.

Your korean bank accounts will not terminate when your visa is terminated, they will remain active as long as there is some cash in them. Your KEB account is prob better for the deposit if you have internet banking and wire transfers set up for the account. That way you can transfer your money out of korea on your own from wherever you may be. Depositing it to a korean account only takes a few weeks from job end/application to deposit completion. If you have it deposited to a foreign account, youre looking at months for the deposit instead of weeks.
