I have been running in circles through links on the GRE website trying to register for October. I get to the page that tells you to register through the testing center. If I go to the Fulbright page, I click to register online, which sends me to a country list, which sends me back to the list of testing centers. Or I go to the other page, which is in Hangul and basically defunct. I tried calling the number for the testing center, and I got an automated message with a really thick accent telling me to go online to register and (I think) to stop calling this number(!) Or at least that's what I heard.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Yeah, it's not too hard, but I had to call to get them to help me. First of all, I hope you know that the GRE in Korea is split registration. Basically what that means is you take the writing portion M-F sometime before a specified date (think Sept. 17). When you take the writing portion, you register for the paper based test in October. I'm copying and pasting my email from the registration center. Good luck! Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Hello
This is GRE RRC (Regional Registration Center)

The GRE-General test is offered as a Split test in Korea.
It means the Analytical Writing section is offered on computer (CBT) and Verbal & Quantitative sections are administered as a Paper-based test (PBT).
The PBT is offered only twice a year. Test takers are required to take both parts of the test in the same testing year, and must take the computer-based Analytical Writing portion first.
Test centers fill up quickly so early registration is recommended to get your preferred test date.
The CBT writing test registration deadline is 48hours prior to the test date

2010 2011 Test Dates

NOTE: Registration for the 2010 11 testing year opens July 2010.

Individuals taking the Analytical Writing section between July 1, 2010 and September 18, 2010 will be registered for the paper-based administration on October 23, 2010. Individuals taking the Analytical Writing section between September 19, 2010 and May 7, 2011 will be registered for the paper-based administration on June 11, 2011.
