i got a Global Roaming SIM card with the LG LV7400 phone.

The phone is activated with LG Network and i know a few people on LG Network do not get the SIM card.
Does it mean that i can get any UNLOCK Phones from SK/KT and use it on LG network?

Any info would do.. such as will there be ROAMING fees? Thanks

As far as I know, the SKT / KT / LG phones are all locked to their carriers and they are not letting up. I know that SKT and KT have been starting programs where you can register the phones on another network, etc, but

I'm pretty sure the sim card only allows you to go abroad and still use LG service.

Since LG still runs on a CDMA network, it's impossible to roam in countries with GSM/3g only networks. That's when you take your LG SIM and pop it in a phone from another country and still use your LG service. It doesnt mean that you can use an SK/KT phone on your LG plan.

I totally agree with you.
However, i notice that some people are selling UNLOCKED SK/KT phone in the market that can be used with either SK/KT so i am guessing with my LG Sim card, i can pop the thing in to any UNLOCKED CDMA phone and it should work as well.

It is a SIM to allow your LG phone to connect via GSM networks for roaming internationally. Works fine in Canada at least.

It uses CDMA in Korea and Japan.

One question might be: can I use a SIM from say AT&T and thus use the phone with AT&T in the US (rather than roaming).

I'm assuming if you uses the LG roaming SIM, you'll definately be billed for ROAMING Charges for third party network.

Can someone please answer this question for me?
Does LG Network support 3G (HSDPA)/UTMS and what frequencies?

Seriously if it does then i guess i could just get any UNLOCK phone with the HSDPA/UTMS technology to connect to LG without roaming in S.Korea
