Hi
Realising that it is that time of year again, there will be plenty of new faces about town, so if you live in the Cheolsan area and need a hand with whatever: knowing where to shop, learning how to say 'Cheolsan Station' to a taxi driver (yeah, its harder than it sounds) or working out the subway etc then give me a shout and I can PM back with my details. Don't worry, I do have friends of my own, but when I arrived 6 months ago it made a big difference when someone through Daves helped me out,so why not 'pass it on!'.

Enjoy the beauty that is Cheolsan!

I used to live in Cheolsan. It was the perfect place. I'd go back there if I ever wanted to work in a public school again.

Pronouncing 철산역 to a taxi driver late at night is an art form!

I just wish there were some more western coffee shops there.

Thanks for the nice gesture Onamission. I'll be a newbie in that area next month. I can't PM you because I haven't made enough posts though...

Hi
Re: the coffee shops, I found a '7 Gram' coffee shop by accident and I have decided that that will be my sanctuary during the cold winter months.

Re: PM, just send a reply to this message when you arrive and I will give you a shout. Safe travels!

Just moved here last night. If anyone's interested in meeting, I have the whole week off due to the pig virus/flu thang. Just send a PM, if you please.

Hey! So I just got to Gwangmyeong too, and also am new on Dave's ESL Cafe. Would love to meet up with some people, as I am also in quarantine and cannot work until probably mid next week. Since I can't PM just send me an email: [email protected] and I will get back to you.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hey guys, I've lived in Cheolsan for the past year, I'd be down for meeting up at Garten Bier or wherever.

It's a pretty good neighborhood for restaurants, but recently i've moved closer to ha-an sagori, so it's cool finding good places to go there too.

Hi guys
That's cool. There's a good 30% of us in the Bobostel opposite the park and someone has posted a get-together at Wa Bar (near the batting cages...just listen for the "ding" ) this Wednesday at 9pm.

My e-mail is [email protected] if you want to get in touch for questions/coffee/....

Catch you guys later

Ok, I realize this is almost a year late (which means its almost that time of the year again, right? Wink ) but I would love to meet some people here. I got here on Saturday and I'm already bored out of my mind with no one to socialize with. I live right next to Cheolsan station (I wonder if I'm saying it right) and I walked past the famous but now departed Free Bird on my way to school this morning, so where do people hang out now?

Hi!
Welcome to Cheolsan!!! Yeah, I left Korea in february and a number of my close mates are gone tooooo but I will have a zap about and see via the magic of facebook. First thing to do is get onto the Facebook site 'gwangmyeong teachers'...or 'cheolsan teachers'...something like that. Loads of people past and present are on there.

Find me on facebook Claire Noble and my pic is of me and my bro with a sunrise behind us, then I can do 'friend suggestions' to my friends-most are them are normal haha

Have fun!!!

Claire

Welcome.. Try the Garten Bier or Messi (next to mcdonalds). There's also a Wa-Bar next to the batting cage that some people hang out at. I don't think we've really made a new home base since freebird closed a month or two ago.
