|
|
Hey guys, so I've been on this site just reading it up, and I know that you guys say that it can suck over there but I'm still ready to commit to the experience over in Korea.
But I just got an offer to be a teacher at the MACMILLAN English school and I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of it, been there, or what?
It's located in Seoul , Location: Subway Line 6# Mapo station (Mapo -gu - 15~20 minutes by bus from the Hongdae station).
I'm interested but I'm not gonna jump in until I find out if it's legit.
Any word would be great! Thanks!

Did you take the job? I've just been offered a position there as well, and I'm trying to find information on the school. Nothing yet so far. |

It's best to speak to former teachers that have worked there. If there is no other teacher then I would be wary. |

I talked on the phone to a foreign teacher and he sounded very positive and upbeat about the school. So I that's good news. |

And just today I was also offered a Macmillan job, though they spelled it McMillan.
It's in Seongbuk gu, Seoul, near Wolgok subway station line #6.
I'm assuming you guys got an email from another teacher... My last job offer wouldn't supply me an email from another teacher, and my recruiter ending up telling me not to take the job because the school seemed sketchy. |

If so then you'll be ok? |

Steer clear of the Seoul branch. The teachers are very, very dissatisfied. |

I just heard today that the director doesn't allow teachers access to the internet.....
Some people feel this is an injustice and they are unhappy working there.
Also, the director likes to watch the teachers through the classroom windows.
As we know, this isn't the best style of leadership.
So please discount my earlier comments. Moreover, I heard the teacher, maybe you has already backed out.... |
