Anybody else getting a funky Google logo on supposedly international generic google.com today? I guess it's a Korean artist by the name of 백남준's birthday, were he still alive. I could see google.co.kr doing this, but I thought that the google.com that we see is the same google.com the rest of the world sees, but it doesn't seem to me that this guy's birthday (though after reading about him a bit, he was pretty impressive) would warrant a google.com facelift. |

google.com automatically redirects to google.co.kr. Check your address bar. What does it say?
My home page is google.co.nz and it is always generic. |

He allegedly coined the term "Superhighway"-
maybe that's the reason Google loves him so much ) |

He is considered the father of video art and was an extremely influential avant-garde artist, early member of Fluxus, experimental composer, and more. Pretty major figure in the art world. Koreans don't trumpet his virtues too much because he was raised/educated largely in Japan and then found success in the US, and he never really emphasized his Koreanness or re-connected with his heritage. |

That's him. I'm wondering if this was a universal thing. Are either of you in the UK, US or Canada? |

How do you even do that? Every time I type in google.com it redirects to g.co.kr. I would like to know so that I can set the google search in my menu bar to search .com and not .co.kr. |

At the bottom of the google page there's a link that says "google.com in English." Click that, it will put a cookie on your comp so it stays English (until the next time you clear your cookies). |

If you're using the google toolbar, go to tools and change the site to US or whatever one you want. |
