Umm.....I have news for all of you.
Taco Bell has been in Korea for years. It is just now that it is open to the "general public".
Enjoy. |

Seriously? You are asking that question? I'll answer it for you.
Only military and authorized personnel are allowed on base. Military is a fancy word we use for people in the army, navy, air force, coast guard, and national guard. These people have big guns. Normal people like us can not go on the army base. The base is what army people call home. Normal people can't go to the Army people's home without a special pass. The Taco Bell is on the base. Since normal people can't go to the base, we can't enjoy the Taco Bell.
but oh goody! A Taco Bell opened in the big big city we call Seoul. Inside this big city, normal people like you and me can go to this Taco Bell and buy food without a special pass! Yay!
Now, normal people can have Tex-Mex fast food without paying lots and lots of money for it. Also, it is called "comfort food" because it reminds many Americans of home.
Later, Daddy will read you a bed time story about the Tortoise and the Hare.

| Maybe some of these posters are flaming Taco Bell because they hope to keep the lines down so they don't have to wait in line all day. We all know that everyone loves the food. |

Oh no. I loved going to the Taco Bell onbase when I was in Korea and I know I will enjoy it again when I go back to Yongsan (or Osan).
I mean, it is cool to see that people could get to have a taste of something that I've been able to eat for years if I chose to. Also, I could wander in there once in a while when I go offbase. Nothing like having a piece of whats onbase, offbase. |

You realize there are military boards where you can (omit) talk about either the on or off base taco bells, right? |

One thing I have to say is that I hate General McChrystal for closing the Taco Bell here at Bagram. Hopefully General Patraeus will give the go-ahead to open the food court again soon |
