I understand the aircraft carrier U.S.S. George Washington is visiting Busan harbor through Sunday. Does anyone know if it's possible to tour the vessel? |

Given the state of international terrorism, I highly doubt it. Considering Busan in not the ships home port, and it is here as part of military exercises with the ROK navy, I would not expect that anyone other than authorized personal will be able to get beyond the docks if even that close.
Nothing personal against yourself, but I would certainly hope that average Joe civilians would not be allowed on board regardless of the port or whether engaged in exercises. |

Nothing personal against you either, but according to this news report, the ship is hosting a reception and a number of guided tours for local residents:

If they're allowing Koreans to visit then why would they object to an American citizen? |

I'm guessing the only opportunity I'd have to tour the ship is during Fleet Week in San Diego, but I thought I'd pose the question here anyways to see if I was wrong.

Still in Korea. Visiting US Navy ships quite often do conduct tours. You'd have to check with Fleet Activities Chinhae's Public Affairs Office at 0505-762-5076 to get information on the port-of-call for the USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN-73). |
