Someone wrote me giving a high recommendation to AHS. They are not on this board and asked me to sing their praises.

Are any of you aware of other English speaking counselors in the land of Chosun?

BTW, FWIW, some of you have asked me: the therapists that are listed above do not work for me, but are "the competition". I believe that what goes around, comes around. |

I heard he recently came into a large sum of money that he needs help getting out of his country and is looking for someone with a bank account who can help him. |

I would warn about certain Korean therapists, too.

That's a really good point and I hope people will take your warning seriously. |

That may been your experience, but myself and my fellow therapists in Seoul that I personally know of are very careful with issues of confidentiality. That is my experience.
There are some here that don't believe in therapy. That's fine. I'm wondering among those who have found it helpful, who would you recommend? |

If they aren't registered and certified in their home country, take a pass. Confirm their registration and certification, too, or take a pass. If their primary job in Korea is not counceling, take a pass. There may be VERY few exceptions, but with options, why take chances. If you do want to go with someone who does this part time and is not registered/certified, at least demand to see, and to then check, their complete employment history. None of this should be kept a mystery.
Just sayin.... |
