the Kyopos! wow..

well looks like Koreans are at it again copying an Idea..
this looks scripted though, and the cast looks casted...
this has The Hills written all over it..
anyway lets see how it goes...

Tyrese is Korean now?!?

sorry I should rephrase that!
Koreans are involved in an non original concept! a concept which is just a copy of the Italians from Jersey shore!
another scripted reality show!

what's next?
COMPTON BROTHAZ?
LATINO POSSE?

Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

And Jersey Shore was a completely original idea? Grow up.

please link the original idea!

And I guess Asian-Americans are so desperate for attention in mainstream American media that they'll consider a Jersey Shore knock-off a step up.

Wrong. This was posted on LA based message board and pretty much all the Asian-Americans who responded thought it was a disgrace. And at the same time, Asian-Americans were protesting in front of a theater showing "The Last Airbender." Not all Asian-Americans are "so desperate for attention" that we gladly accept crude caricatures just to be in the mainstream media.

I'm a Cali gyopo and I'm embarassed by this. It's for pure entertainment value and will be filled with racial stereotypes... I hope the show doesn't get picked up.

I can understand why you wouldn't like the show but what racial stereotype are you worried about?

I'm worried about everyone thinking all gyopos act like those from SoCal. No offense to SoCal gyopos, but you guys are completely different from Korean-Americans in the rest of the country (except maybe NYC gyopos).

I don't think it's racial stereotyping so much as regional stereotyping.

all that studying time for the college exams, and rebelling against the 'rents and dating white boys and girls.... it comes to a head when the girls all tell their fathers they are looking for a dreamy man like Jamie Farr. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Farr

Though they do have a point... they're more than likely going to save money on attire. they can share with their future 남편! Very Happy

meh...

I have a white friend who lives in Koreatown LA. Maybe he'll be in the background of a bar scene? That would be cool... :/

No, seriously, meh.
