So, believe it or not, I'm seeing more and more articles about men shaving their armpits. On a lot of the men's fitness and grooming sites and in the magazines, it appears to be a new trend.

Body hair and I haven't gotten along in a while. It started with the private region back when I was in high school. I just prefer to be smooth and clean there. I've gotten zero complaints from ladies on that end. Then I started on my chest and abs a few years ago. It was weird the first time, but essentially I never looked back. When you've got a body worth showing off, it looks and feels really good. There seems to be a few more ladies that like a hairy chest, but not many. Recently I got on to trimming my legs. Not shaving, just trimming to keep them from looking like a gorilla man. I get nothing but compliments on that. I've been told several times "great legs." Again, I work out, so I've got something to show off under all that hair.

But I'm undecided about shaving the pits. For me, that's like the one area I thought it was okay to have a lot of hair. But Men's Health has never steered me wrong before, so let me know what you think ladies. How do you like your man's pits?

Never thought about this before, but I like the idea of trimmed armpit hair on a man. I admit, though, that I'm old fashioned with chest hair. I think it's super hot, but I think the younger generation (under 30) prefers that trimmed, or even shaved off.

My husband tells me he trims a little bit for the sake of the deo making contact, but I can't tell. That's the way I like it.

I like men manly with lush beards and hobbit feet.

I wonder what the reaction would be if a guy started posting polls about how loose they want their women or how smooth the ideal breast is...

The OP is a man and he is asking for the general opinion of women so he can decide on a look that is best for him.

I'm not quite sure if there is a way to classify the smoothness of breasts. Although I can imagine an awkward scientist writing a romance poem with medical precision to the effect.

I suppose I could ask how everyone feels about my only shaving my legs on Saturdays but, "I shall stay the way I am because I do not give a damn."

Smooth.

My boyfriend shaves his every day in the shower. But other than that, he is akin to a yeti in the winter. Laughing

I can't say I've ever noticed my boyfriend's pits- so long as they're not stinky, it's fine by me.

Oh it's a guy. Bloody hell. What kind of man spends that much time on their body?? Actually my ex-band singer used to shave his whole body other than his head, we always had to wait about 45 minutes for him to do it whilst we sat in the car.
Very annoying.

Personally I think effort should be left for the women, who have constant health struggles, paranoia, weird bodily functions and problems, whereas us men just need to remember to eat (to quote a favourite british actor).

I don't think this was a serious poll about armpit hair, I would wager money that he already shaves it clean. Pretty sure he just needed to come let us know that he works out and that we should be very impressed.

Personally, I own a gun so working out is not even on the table.

As long as a man is clean, it doesn't matter.

This whole topic is turning me off.

Gentlemen, you do not need to know what "ladies" want. Your object is to find the one lady who will love you the way that you are.

Groom yourself, Dress yourself appropriately for the places that you go...like saving your sneakers and white socks for the gym a few times a week, but don't obsess over this nonsense.

Sexiness starts in the brain. Make sure that yours is oiled and lubed by reading books or newspapers and staying up to date on current events. Try out different foods now and then. Don't forget your manners. These things are a lot more important than manscaping.
