Without the debate of whether Oxford Seminars is a scam or not I need some advice for the most useful specialization module for work in South Korea.

I am debating on taking the teaching TOEFL Preparation or the teaching Business English module. I would like some advice and other input from people familiar with jobs in South Korea or even the demand for tutoring TOEFL preparation or business English in the United States.

Thanks

If you have no experience then either or both would be better than nothing.

Are they worth anything in Korea = they are as good as anything else because they don't really care about the quality of the cert here in Korea.

Can you use it elsewhere = probably not.

I have been asked in Korea and the US much more often if I can teach TOEFL prep than business English. It could be worth a tiny bit to be able to say, "I did a certificate module in TOEFL prep."

Do whichever one you are most interested in. The only thing that matters is that you do the specialization module to get your certificate to 100 hours. The first certificate you get at Oxford is only worth 60 hours, so in order to get any kind of salary bump in Korea you will need that 40 hour specialization module to make your certificate worth any money at all here.
