Hi,

I am new to this forum and have looked through numerous topics to see if I could find the information I am seeking before posting this; however, I haven't been able to find what I need.

I am trying to find a teaching position in South Korean and am currently working with a recruiter from Titan International, also known as worknkorea.com. I sent my resume to him via Craigslist, and have had a phone interview and several email conversations, but would feel better if I could find any information other than his company website.

The only other information I have been able to find are various postings for ESL Teaching jobs in South Korea posted on Craigslist (various cities and states), but can't seem to find anything else. I think it is a reputable company, but with so many scams out there...I would rather be safe than sorry.

Has anyone ever used this recruiting agency, or heard anything...good...bad...anything? I know I sound paranoid, but just want to be safe.

Thanks...

Check out the job list here on Dave's.

Don't rely on just one recruiter. None of the big recruiting agencies are totally honest. Apply to as many as possible and then just go with whoever offers you the best position. They are accepting multiple applicants for the same positions, AND they will withdraw job offers if a better person applies after they offer you the job. So there's no reason for you to apply to only one recruiter.

Thanks for the advice.

As I stated previously, I am sure this company is reputable...(and don't want to put anything negative out there about them because he has been very responsive, nice, and professional, thus far--and I understand how tough the recruiting business can be. However, I would feel better if I had more information, other than a website...or Craigslist posting. Though TONS of reputable recruiters (from various job sectors) post jobs/positions on Craigslist, there are also many scam artist posting, as well.

I have been in contact with him since mid-July and have most of my paperwork ready, but I haven't received any feedback about any schools being interested in interviewing me yet, either. Which is kind of a bummer at this point :(

Anyway, I will take your advice....thanks!

This is why multiple recruiters is a good idea. Recruiters make different deals with different schools. Its a game of who-do-you-know contacts, so going with multiple recruiters should get you more job offers not just the same job offers..

Unless your going for a public school job where they get mad with multiple applications from one person use only one of the big recruiters for those jobs or apply direct.
