i've been to a couple doctors' offices in korea, but not many. recently, i had to go to a doctor for my back, my boss called him a nervous system doctor. the place was very nice and comfortable and clean, but on the walls were these hideous pictures (photographs) of the doctor performing surgery! they weren't small -- one was almost an entire wall, of the guy bending over the patient with an open back, blood and all. i don't know about any of you, but if i was getting ready for back surgery, the last thing i'd want to see is that picture! my boyfriend said, "well, people can see from the picture that he is a good surgeon, that he is professional....". is this kind of like when you see pictures of cute little pigs in sam gyup sal restaurants?

so i want to know, is this common in offices like that? and what do you think. does it make you feel comfortable, or not?
