So I'm returning to Korea in a month. Going to bring herb seeds with me and hopefully grow some of the basic stuff.
I'm thinking
Basil
Coriander
Parsley (Cilantro)
Mint
Can I grow these all comfortably indoors, I won't have a garden although likely will have a balcony which may or may not have a windowsill. Any other suggestions
Thanks |

I came back with basil, cilantro, parsley, and chives. Keep them on the roof, under a ledge, if available. It's what I do, and they're sprouting nicely. I check the weather, to see if it's going to downpour. Then I bring them inside.
I'm going to see if I can find a UV lamp. My apartment gets sunlight, but I like keeping my shades drawn. They let light in, but not the eyes of prying neighbors! |

"Keep them on the roof"
This. You can always bring them indoors if need be.
It's difficult to find most of these things here, but
I've found them all . . . lots of searching.
If you can manage Seeds fit well in pockets. |

we were able to find basil in the dollar (1,000 won) store, in it's own little pot. we've been harvesting it for about 5 months now. made some great pesto! |

OP,
Parsley and cilantro are different plants.
Coriander and cilantro are the same plants
And make sure to keep mint away from the other herbs. It grows quickly and aggressively and will take over the other pots before you can do anything about it.
Other wise, good luck and enjoy. |

I've grown basil and cilantro on a windowsill without a problem. Cilantro seems a lot easier.
Rosemary is everywhere in Seoul. Most plant shops have them. |

I also got basil in Daiso in Daegu. It comes in its own pot with quite a bit of seed, all for 1000 won. I have seen them in every Daiso I have been in. It is great to have fresh basil.
I also have some coriander seedlings growing but they are not doing as well as the basil sadly. |
