This might apply specifically to the Sense UI, but I am tearing my hair out right now. On HTC Desire.

I sent a 30 letter text to my GF with 2 Korean characters in (which inexplicably converts the mesg to a MMS Mad ), so now it won't deliver the message (which is fine with me). But I can't delete the msg either! It keeps coming back with an error msg. I ended up deleting the whole thread of msgs but it is still trying to deliver the msg. I'm going nuts!

Furthermore, why does one korean character convert the whole thing to an MMS?

One Korean character WON'T convert automatically to MMS. It does however make the character limit much lower than all one language would be.

To get it delivered, you have to make sure you have your 3G enabled. MMS cannot be sent via wi-fi. They have to be sent and downloaded using 3G. To delete it, not sure as I've not had that problem.

Seems to have stopped after resetting. The limit must be about 20 characters.

How is MMS different to Shotmail msgs?

MMS = Multimedia Messaging Service, ordinary SMS have character limits of 160 (Twitter took this idea for its 140 char limit) so going over that limit will need to be sent as MMS. MMS was primarily created for allowing to send photos, and video files over the system.

On mine, I can have 20 letters, use one Korean character, and it automatically converts to MMS. Infuriating.
