The cops were obviously cowards and wimps.
When you see an 86 bed-ridden old woman, on oxygen, and you are afraid to the point of attacking her, then you are too cowardly to be a police officer.
Even if they should avoid it, cops should be trained to disarm a healthy 240 pound 20 year old man with a knife - bare handed.
These wimps should be fired and then prosecuted for assault and civil rights violations.
An 86 year old bed-ridden woman on oxygen is no threat - knife or no. In fact, even if she had a gun, they should be able to deal with her non-violently. Wimps and cowards.
It is wimps and cowards such as these pigs and their supporters that create police states.
Real men are not afraid in manageable situations like this. |

What do you make of all the support cops are getting for doing stuff like this and giving multi-decade sentence for thoughts in people's heads?

I mean who would report someone of their own community, online or otherwise, hmmm. I seem to remember a thread about people reporting other people recently, something about people saying things they didn't like, hmmm. |

From the person who called me a collaborationist. Last time I'll mention it, but a police state can not exist with out a population that narcs on others. I think that we are allowed an open debate about police actions means it is not a police state, rather a stupid act by individual officers. |

I agree they should be trained so that hopefully they will be able to do that. It is possible that for some reason they may be dis-armed during a scuffle and are unable to straight-out shoot the perp.
If they have a firearm, then forget the tazer in that scenario. Just shoot his ***. |

| I find it highly entertaining that certain individuals are so ready to condemn an officer of the law over an ACCUSATION of police brutality. When there has not yet been an investigation about what happened. Yet these same individuals are just as quick to blame others for condemning a NET who was accused of molesting a child in Korea. I'm having a good laugh at some peoples' expense over here. Hypocrisy much?! Where are your ethics now?? |

The number of situations that require tasers being used on a bed-ridden elderly are few and far between. I will admit that some situations may exists, but I am having a difficult time creating such a scenario in my mind.
Another poster has mentioned it, and I said as much in other threads about people getting tasered, but I am shocked and disappointed at how the taser has evolved as a tool. It should not even be an option in this situation. She's an ederly. The officers in question truly used every other option to resolve the situtation?
I just don't see it being necessary.
Nothing is black and white, not even pulling a knife on a cop. |
