Does anyone have any information on this? DirectTV's NFL Sunday Ticket cannot be received outside of the US and I can't find a reliable online broadcaster.

I'd rather not spend every sunday night/monday morning in itaewan, but I haven't missed a Giants game in years.

There is a website called http://leech.tenyardtorrents.com/

They usually have all the NFL games uploaded within 24 hours of the live game. I don't live that close to Seoul, so this is how I watch my games in Korea. Just have to make sure to avoid the sports news until you watch the game Smile

I am not sure if this link will work, but when I lived in Korea, NFL.com offered live HD games:

https://gamepass.nfl.com/nflgp/secure/registerform

It is like over $200, but well worth it.

If you don't want to pay, there are tons of sites that stream the games live.

+1

Also there is this site - http://www.hoftorrents.com/index.php

Ten Yard Torrents is the better of the two (in fact the best on the web) but the HOF torrents site usually will have most of the same games although not a quickly (within a few days) but the plus side is that with HOF torrents alot of the games you can download without hurting your down/up ratio. TYT is great but you must maintain a minimum ratio.

@ claytron
justin.tv is worthless

So ten yard torrents is the way to go then i guess. The demo for NFL gamecenter seems exactly like the NHL gamepass which was choppy at best.

what's the deal with the ratio? I just need to keep seeding games to keep it up, right? also, how long does it generally take to download a game?

sorry for all the questions, but the season's around the corner and I won't feel comfortable until i get this sorted out

On TYT, after you have downloaded 20gb or more, you must maintain at least a 0.3 ratio of what you have uploaded against downloaded. If you drop below that, the tracker will not allow you to download anything until you have seeded back up to 0.3 (this is only after 20gb has been downed)

Yes, generally I only download the games of my favorite team. My upload speed is limited, and the users of the site do not seem to number very high, so seeding a game I have downloaded back up to at least a 1.0 ratio is difficult for me, mainly because anyone who might want that game get it rather quickly from other users with faster upload speeds.

As far as how quickly a game downloads..that depends. Not all, but a few of the people who upload the game originally have limited bandwidth, and in that case if 150 users are all trying to get the same game from that kind of user, it can take days! Other seeds might have 150 leechers but usually when a second person gets the game, 20 others get it at about the same time, so downloading is much faster. It all depends on the speed of the uploaded of the original seed, and how many leechers are trying to get it.

Usually in a game happens on a Sunday afternoon (US time) which is Monday morning here, the torrent could be up just a few hours later. Usually I find the game I want has been uploaded by Tuesday morning local time, and can watch the game Tuesday evening if the original uploaded has decent upload speed.

My team (Panthers) is not a very popular team, so unless they are playing a team like the Cowboys/Patriots, or some other very popular team, it can take 2-3 days just for the game to be uploaded to the site, then perhaps another day or two to get it downloaded.

Coral, thx for sharing all that. I think the Giants are only behind the Cowboys and Steelers in the popularity contest, so it should work out well for me.

Why is your upload speed slow, can't you adjust the bittorrent settings or something?

Also, hows the quality? NHL gamecenter (i assume NFL gamepass is the same) was disappointing because it just didnt perform well at high quality, so ill probably be happy with torrents even if they arent perfect

The TYT quality is great. Usually there will always be at least one HD version of the game posted.

I have to second everything Coral said about the ratio, etc. If there's a big game the you know people are going to be interested in seeing (i.e. opening night), make sure you jump on it as soon as it's posted. The guys that operate TYT run a super tight ship, and if you drop below .3 you'll be banned from the tracker and basically have to write a treatise explaining why you screwed up and promise never to do it again. It's all a little too heavy handed and over the top for an internet torrent site, but the quality is good, and in the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

there are some streaming sites besides justin.tv (they tend to shut down nfl streams when they find out) that will show games check myp2p.eu for links, you may have to download veetle, streamtorrent etc for them to work

getting a group of people together to buy an nfl gamepass may be an idea they archive games for about a week plus you get 24/7 access to the nfl network and the redzone channel which are excellent add ons. not sure if you can do multiple logins at the same time

people in the states are paying the same amount or even more for nfl sunday ticket on direct tv so we arent getting ripped off though $300 is high given the length of the season

IM not sure why my speed is so slow. To be honest I'm not expert with computers and such. Last year was the first full year I used the site for all 16 weeks. I went through their sticky on optimizing upload speed and did everything like it said. According to the speed test, I should be downloading at 3.2mb/s and uploading 1.2mb/s, however I can never get more than 400kb/s down and 50kb/s up. I might play with it again just to check, bit I did that once and messed something up so I'm a bit weary.

I can keep about a 1.0 ratio even with my speeds, but it means keeping all games on my computer for the entire season so that they may be downloaded..which can eat of my hard drive space.

Quality is great..although rarely but sometimes torrents are a bit lacking. Check the specs on the torrent for that info..most users are very good about admitting lackluster video quality or audio.

Often times, several versions of the same game may be posted..one might be a 4gb HDTV version, and another might be a 1.5gb xvid. Even the smaller files tend to be good quality..so no worries there.

Regardless of the ratio, you can always support the site by making a small donation. Something like 15 bucks will buy you 20gb of download capacity.

With the exception of Week 1 (Giants will be hosting the Panthers), have a good season Smile

Try ATDHE.net when the season begins. I used NFL gamepass last year and would NEVER sign up for that crap again. First 3 weeks were a joke, always delays in responding to inquiries, lots of lost feeds, and was generally disappointed with the product...

I bought the NFL GamePass 2 years ago and loved it. I will likely do the same again this year. Last year, I found the live streaming sites to be unreliable; choppy quality, not all the games were shown or they would get cut-off mid game.

Go Bucs
