Recently, Tooniverse has begun introducing the Korean-dubbed version of the Simpsons on Tooniverse. I've made it a kind of ritual to catch the simpsons every night and frankly, the Korean version is really bothering me! It's not that I cannot understand it 100%, but because the voices just seem all wrong. The voice actors do a decent job, but it's like the Simpsons are being violated somehow.

Any one agree with me?

A Korean teacher told me the Simpsons were created in Korea even though I said it was American. Wikipedia says it's an American animated series. I would say I wouldn't enjoy the dubbed in Korean version, because I wouldn't understand enough as I watched the dubbed version of, "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs."

The actual animated drawings are, or were, contracted to a Korean firm. That is what she meant.

In Germany Homer says "Nein!" instead of "D'oh!"...

Yo! Just thought I'd post a URL where you can stream simpson's episodes free. tsepisode.org
Good for killing time during those long desk-warming sessions.

They still are, I believe. The original company that did it was changed though. They took some "liberties" in animating a show. Maggie was watching the Happy Little Elves and they were cutting off heads. There were a couple of other little side things, but they had to have the whole thing redone and they switched companies.

Anyway, I had heard they are done in Guro or Gasan Digital Complex, somewhere around there.

Anyone capture an episode yet? Or maybe have any Koreans put it online yet? I don't have a tv, I use my comp to watch everything (usually downloaded), I would LOVE to watch some simpsons in korean (good way to practice), but I have yet to find it...
