haha sorry. i've made the new one when it was released, but have been trying to contact my friend to get it up on his site.
EDIT: I just talked to him and sent it to him by email. He said he will post it up late tonight, so just check the link at the beginning of this thread later tonight, or tomorrow morning, it should be up by then.
He said he's going to add it to a new page on his site, but there will be links to it on the old page that i linked on the first post of this thread. |

I should have added that you are helping out a lot of people in doing that aphase.
I know I really appreciate it, and I should have said that in the bump.
Thank you.
I'm going to try and follow the directions in the link you provided on the first page of this thread, in order to do this on my own. But, in case of probable failure, I have a fall back. |

No problem . Actually, I wasn't quick to have my friend put up the file because I wasn't sure if anyone actually used it, but now I know at least one person does haha.
Anyways the new links is here:

Well I'm not sure how many people use the "findMyIphone" feature of mobileME, but I updated the carrier file to work with iOS4.
The thing is tho that it now requires a jailbroken phone. The reason for this is that any carrier update installed directly on the phone through FTP, or over the air takes precedence over carrier files installed through iTunes. If you install through iTunes the iphone will keep bugging you about once a week, or everytime you plug it in to your computer that a new carrier file is available.
So anyways installing through cydia is now the better method, as it will make the phone think you installed it over the air.
Here are the current steps:
1. To install the carrier update go into Cydia on your jailbroken phone
2. Go to the section labeled "Carrier Bundles".
3. select the KTF Korea Carrier Bundle (by aphase).
4. Install, and it should work
I haven't tested it out with MobileMe yet, because I ironically don't have a MobileMe account yet, but since I made the carrier file exactly the same way I made the previous ones, it should work.
For anyone who installs it through Cydia, please confirm that it worked for you in this thread.
Also, for un-jailbroken phones, the previous carrier update I listed in the past will still work, but itunes or your phone might bug you once inawhile that a new carrier bundle is available (even tho its pretty much the same). Just ignore the message and it'll work. |

I used the very first hack on an UNjailbroken 3GS, and it didn't work.
Now, on a jailbroken 3GS. No go.
Apple lists SouthKorea as an unsupported country for this service. Doesn't that mean that the dedicated infrastructure has been disabled? |

No i had the trial version of mobileME and it worked, and it's worked for other people before I posted the carrier bundle on Cydia. I'm asking people to test the Cydia one to make sure that the Cydia Repository uploaded it correctly.
You have to have the mobileME service set up both on the MobileME website, and on your iphone, instructions are available on the internet on how to set up "Find My iPhone", on both ends.
This edited carrier bundle simply removes the block that KTF put into place.
I guess i'll have to get another mobileME subscription to test it out again myself, if no one else has tried it out yet.
EDIT: Earlier in this thread you stated that you in fact did get it to work on your unjailbroken iphone?? Can you clarify? |

Yes, i know. I've always had MobileMe. And I followed the instructions to the letter.
What I meant earlier, when I said it was 'working', was that the function seemed enabled on the phone itself.
However, later, when I logged into MobileMe, and selected the "Find My iPhone" function, it wouldn't load. It just cycled back to the home page. Perhaps it's different now, but the second hack didn't work on a jailbroken phone with Cydia.
I'd love to try it out again now this third time, as you described, but guess what... my phone was stolen a month ago. Talk about irony. |

| I want to give this thread a bump for all the new iPhone users. I tried the update through Cydia to enable "Find my iPhone" and it works great. Cheers aphase |

Can anyone confirm this hack works with MobileMe purchased IN KOREA?
I installed it through Cydia, and i have everything turned on as applicable. Not only does it not show up in my iPhone's settings, but the MobileMe webpage says the service is unavailable in Korea. |

Mobileme is now free on iphone 4 if you have 4.2 installed. I just set it up. I used this carrier file to reenable the feature but it only half works. It's on. The mobileme site reports the phone, but it can't seem to locate it.
I can send a remote message and interact with it, but the location shows up as "cannot be found" perhaps another update is needed?
I notice while it's trying to locate it, that little pink arrow that normally shows up when location services are being used isn't present.
I should note if I restart my phone, the option to "find my phone" on the mobile me section disappears.
I have to re-add the carrier file via itunes. However, the phone still shows up as available. So even though the option is disabled in the KT carrier file, it seems if it is set already, it won't change. They aren't disabling it, just removing the ability to set it.
In an unrelated note Jihachul crashes non-stop on 4.2 |
