Wow. I have no desire to see something that sick, though I can see how it would appeal to some people.

Oh look, two personality lacking glamour girls that get in too deep.

Oh look, a car breaking down in the middle of nowhere at night after getting lost, despite earlier conversation about being prepared.

Oh what's this? the line 'what was that?' springs up.

Oh look, A man who has gone insane with a medical background, who lives alone in the middle of nowhere.

A man that refuses to die despite the heavy blows on him, and his strange ability to know where you are and how to get to you at all costs (I'm assuming this part, probably correctly)

Ah yes, locking oneself in the room, where the insane man can't get in, only to find he gives up and suddenly finds an easier way in within 5 or 6 seconds.

Oh listen, an extended low low bass pedal ornamented with the occasional percussive sound drenched in reverb.

I hate hollywood horror films. Or film, re-released with slight variation on characters and locations. Speaking of which *makes a new thread*

I saw it recently
Take away the shock value of the experiment and it's a pretty ordinary flick
The one part grossed me out but it's really not much to write home about
The doctor and the one policemen are however very good in it.

I saw "Let the right one in" yesterday
I much rather reccommend that

[/b]I would not want to see that one. However, the trailor about "Splice " at that site looks interesting. I consider the first one a Horror movie and I do not like them. "Splice" is science fiction, I like that. I tell my students when they want to know the difference between Horror and Sci Fi, I say Horro is when your neighbour eats you, scifi is when an alien monster eats you. Very Happy

Visitor Q is still my favorite disgusting film.
I'm pretty sure in the Human Centipede situation, I would be committing suicide within minutes.

I'm sorry but that looks like it falls far under 100 legs. I won't watch something advertised so poorly. 88 legs too short for my tastes, psssh.

Yeah, 'Let The Right One In' is a great flim, but these two films shouldn't even be compared.

Go watch 'Audition', it's a good one.

Let The Right One In has become one of my favorite movies. The cinematography is outstanding. The story is engaging, and the movie manages to balance moments of violence with moments of genuine tenderness without feeling too gory or overly sentimental. That said, I agree with PatrickBateman. It seems a little strange to recommend such a tasteful horror film when discussing something as putrid as The Human Centipede. But cheers to a shared love for Let The Right One In nonetheless.

They've already made an American-British version of it to be released October this year in the US. Sadly, I doubt it will have the same heart that the Swedish version possesses. Probably just more violence and blood for more shock value.

I haven't seen The Human Centipede yet (something tells me I get the gist of it...) but when I do, it will probably be with a case of beer and some friends to make fun of it with.

Haven't seen Visitor Q, but I do like the new wave of Japanese gross out films. I recommend "The Machine Girl" and "Tokyo Gore Police" by Yoshihiro Nishimura. Both are completely cheesy, over the top blood baths with extreme body modification themes. And of course the very original, incredibly demented "Tetsuo, the Iron Man".

The Machine Girl
Tokyo Gore Police

As soon as I saw the words "romantic" and "vampire" I decided that I will not watch that film. Vampires are so lame. It's torture porn and zombies for me, or the occasional spooky film like "The Ring." Just so long as there is no real resolution and it looks like people are inevitably going to die and suffer physical losses trying to escape. Sadism. Hateful sadism.

Have you heard of the new porn called 'cumshot surprise' Where a guy hides in a bush getting himelf heated and ready to burst, and as a woman walks by, he runs out and lets it off all over her?
I've yet to see it myself but an interesting concept I believe could be turned into a feature length movie at least.

There's really no romance to speak of. Both the leads are a bit too young. There's also not much vampirage. It's more of a coming of age kind of thing, only one of the leads is ageless. It's definitely worth watching and not to be compared with, say, the steaming pile of crap that is Twilight.
