Can anyone recommend a good hotel in UB? I'm looking for something in a good central location in the $100-$200US price-range.
Looking on Google maps there seem to be a few in a cluster. Has anyone tried the Chinggis Khaan, the Springs or the Narantuul Hotel?
Cheers. |

The Chinggis Khan is in your price range and has the most ammenities and is the biggest hotel in Mongolia. You cant go wrong with it.
In fact, next year I will book a room there. Its about 15 min taxi ride to the center of town (The Square).
I have to ask, why pay so much? There are excellent hotels for around $30 a nite. I suggest you go with GK Hotel the first few days and look/ask around for better/cheaper if you wish to pay less. |

Thanks for the info.
I'd be much happier paying 30, but I kind of just assumed I'd have to pay over $100US to be guaranteed clean sheets, and I don't mind paying a bit more for somewhere nice. I'm glad that's not the case. I think I'll follow your advice and do some looking around once I'm there. |
