Play-asia.com
shipping is pretty fast, works great, you can generally get everything you want. I bought the new super mario bros there and it worked great. |

Why would any seller there go to the trouble of importing genuine north american region versions of Wii games? |

It's been a few years since I've needed to buy region-locked games (PS3), but they used to have North American versions of PS2 games in Yongsan.
There's always a huge selection of Wii games in 'Game Alley' (ask if you need directions)... so it might be worth a shot. A long shot. But if you've got time on your hands. |

I think some of them would go through the trouble because it's close to a military base and a lot of foreigners buy games there. Moreover, I've seen NTSC and PAL versions of XBox360 games there in the past, which would be equally troublesome to get. Play-asia is more convenient and has a better selection, but Yongsan is usually cheaper. |

That's pretty random for shops that don't usually advertise.
While you get soldiers and foreigners wandering through, I expect soldiers could get it easier through other means since most places ship to bases just like they're in the US.
It doesn't seem like a great business model to be carrying random games on the hope that a foreigner walks through who owns a foreign system. |
