Hi everyone

I want to set up a wireless connection for the house from my PC. Now a friend of mine has a wireless router and it's terribly slow so I want to make sure that this won't happen with me.

Is it simply a case of connection my internet cable to the router and then connecting that to my computer? I imagine that would be the case, just want to make sure. Also, any recommendations on routers?

I don't know much about routing, so any help would be appreciated.
