Hi all,
I wanted to know if anyone has heard of or worked with 7's English school? They have a great posting on the job board but I haven't been able to find any information about them. If you have any information it would be GREATLY appreciated,
Thanks!

Hey man,
I spoke with the guy who owned the school. The only reason I turned down the offer was because I was looking for a morning position. Other than that he sounded like a really excellent employer and I would have been happy to work for him.
Sorry, I do not have any first hand accounts of the school though. Just one phone call to base my premise from.
good luck

| don't mean to bump a 1 year old thread, but OP, did you end up getting hired? i see their recent job postings around, and i am really interested in a teaching position that is part time R&D. i was wondering if you, or anyone else, have more insight since this thread was created. |

the boss at this school is INSANE. literally
i used to live in the building across from the school in Bundang and the guy was stalking foreign teachers at midnight. he snuck up on me while i was waiting for the elevator, grabbed my hand and wouldnt let go. he then proceeded to trying to convince me to come work at his school because apparently another teacher ran away (no wonder) and managed to convince me to give him my phone number (i was kinda drunk).
anyhoo...what happened after is that the guy kept calling me NON stop for a week even though i specifically told him i dont want to violate my contract and work two jobs and kind of told him to piss off.
he called me over 50 times in total and wouldn't let go until i blocked his number.
this was the most retarded experience ive had in korea.
also, my neighbor worked at this school and i think the only advantage is that you get a nice apartment in a clean officetel, but im not even sure if you would get the same building. the school is located in a party building with a noraebang and a restaurant on the first floor, so it might get loud if you work evenings.
they do have a lot of students though, so im assuming the school is doing pretty well. except for the fact that the boss is a control freak nutcase. |

lol are you sure it was the boss and not some random freak?
that sounds really really crazy. but your neighbor didn't have any complaints actually working for him? |

| I can add to the above comment in that someone from the school (not sure what his position was there) was going around to all the foreigners he saw and trying to convince them to work illegally in the morning for a month for cash. I know some people are all about that, but I wouldn't really want to work for a school that employs teachers illegally for a number of reasons. |

let's get this straighten out:
I would hate for people to be misinformed
the guy who's 'stalking' the officetel to get teachers to work illegally is the boss for Kingspoint School, NOT 7s, how do I know? I was also approached (including a guy I know who worked at 7s)
the work (as somebody mentioned) is in the morning - meaning it's a kindy job, which Kingspoint is - and 7s isn't |

Ah yes, actually it was Kingspoint now that you mention it. This was about a year ago so my memory was fuzzy. My mistake =x |

haha, yes, Samuel was his name!
a friend who was working at 7s told me about him and I did see him talking to foreigners on the lobby a couple of times - I was able to pass by without notice at first because I'm asian, but the security guy ratted me out one night!
KP, 7s, almost the same building, they're side by side
but yes, anyone wanting to work at either or any hagwon, get to know the boss and ask to speak to several of the teachers there |
