My ARC and Visa both expire on August 21.

My school is going under and the owner is refusing to pay the 1.6 million won it costs for me to get back home.

He says he will keep me on the waiting list for a cheap ticket (which won't come through) or he can send me home at the end of the month.

1. My ARC expires on Sat.
2. I have a job interview on Mon.
3. My friend died last Sunday and I want to get to a memorial for her this upcoming Sunday.

He says he will pay 1.1million of the cost of the flight but no more.

What should I do?

Side note: I have worked at the school for 3 years. I have loved my entire experience and I have had absolutely no problems with anything until this came up. I should be getting my severance pay Friday morning and I believe I will get paid. I have it in writing in an email as well.

Take the 1.1. It sucks, but what can you do? You've got a time crunch. PS teachers only get 1.3, so eat the loss. You don't want to miss your interview or the memorial service.

I told him if he pays me 1.3 then I will be happy and I won't go to the labor board.
Thank god I am getting discount on the flight home in the first place thanks to a friend who works at an airline. Otherwise I would be really screwed.

I am in big financial problems due to some medical problems earlier in the year. Otherwise, I would definitely not be sweating the 500,000won extra.

Get as much as you can and then get out of here. Don't turn this into a Labour Board issue. Not worth the headache for a few bucks.

Yeah we agreed on 1.2 so I will get out of the country on Sat and get on with the list of stuff I need to get done. It's unfortunate that I have to leave Korea with something annoying happening but whatever.
Let's just all hope I get my money tomorrow.
