I'm considering going back to Korea. I previously worked for SMOE, and want to work at a university in Seoul. I have a Masters degree, and a BA, although neither are related to education. I have 3 years ESL experience, 2 in Japan and 1 in Korea.

I'm wondering how to go about finding jobs appropriate for my level, hopefully above the usually SMOE / hogwan route.

Any advice is appreciated!

Send out mass applications. It's gonna be hard without having an F visa/more experience/an English degree, but there's no harm in not trying.

Maybe start out by applying to universities outside of Seoul. They are pretty cushy sounding jobs, but you should be a lover of the countryside. I hear they take just about anyone they can, since (almost) everyone prefers Seoul...

Thanks, thats good advice. Where does one go to apply for university jobs in general? Is there a resource with a list of unis to apply to directly, or are jobs posted on a specific site?

Fly to Korea in late November and apply for University positions. Specify you are IN Korea.

Expand your search outside of Seoul.

With your qualifications and experience, you have a shot if you do it that way.

Get all your documents ready before you leave however.
