Does any females know of a good hair salon in the Mokdong area that can cut curly hair.
I am also looking for a salon that does the permanent straigtening. I think in SK it is called something Magic Show. I usually get the Keratin treatment back in the States.
I desperately need my hair cut and color (I actually have the color just need someone to apply it0 and do not know of any good salons. It would also be great if any of them spoke English. |

Hi,
Check out http://www.curlyhairsalon.com/curly-hair-salons-directory.html. You'll see the Korean salon in Itaewon.
Mimi is the owner. She's really good with curls. Also most salons do the permanent hair straightening. They call it "Magic Straight" in Korea.
Here is Mimi's info:
Family Hair Shop Salon57-17 Itaewon-dong Yongsan-ku Seoul Seoul, South KoreaOn the side of Hamilton HotelTel: (02)796-3538 - Ask for MimiSpecialize in black hair textures. Braids, extensions, excellent at doing relaxers and hair straightening of curls.
Hopefully her number is still the same. It's been years since I've been to her.
She speaks English too |

Family Salon is very reasonably priced, based on my experience (especially for magic straight) and they do a good job. That said, I can't get a good graduated bob (straightened hair) there. Can anyone recommend a good hair dresser for this kind of cut? |

I've had the magic perm done twice in Itaewon at the Green Turtle. About a week after, I also get the deep conditioning treatment, which makes a world of difference. I would recommend it; however, it took my hair a long time to come back from it. |

The best stylist I've found in Korea is Pete Kang, he was trained at Vidal Sasoon, spent several years in England working for them, and his English is great.
He's a little more expensive than familyhair I'm sure, but well worth it.
You can reach him at [email protected]
If he can't do what you're looking for, I guarantee he'll know the person who can.
He mainly works in Gangnam, but sometimes travels if he's doing training workshops for other salons, just best to contact him and talk, super nice guy. |

Do you have the contact information for the green turtle salon. I tried to find a website for them but did not see anything. |

Do you have any experience getting color done by Pete Kang?
I'm looking for someone to redo my blonde highlights...
also, do you know the ballpark price he charges for cuts and colors?
Thanks^^ |
