I've been talking to a few recruiters now and every time I tell them I want to work in Sokcho, they automatically give me job possibilities in Pohang! This is very frustrating, as I do not want to be in Pohang, at all.

Does anyone know why they keep trying to place me in Pohang and keep telling me there is nothing in Sokcho?

Also, does anyone know specifically who I could go to about getting a teaching job in Sokcho?

It won't be the death of me if I cannot find one, I am willing to go to Seoul with little regrets, but I was just very intrigued by living in a seemingly beautiful and nature filled city like Sokcho.

Try posting a message in The Sokcho Select on facebook - can't hurt to find out if anyone works at a school that's hiring.

No I don't. I'm not lucky enough to work in the most beautiful nature filled place in Korea. I'm stuck on this crappy beach in Pusan.

Do you work there?

Thanks for the info on Sokcho Select, didn't even realize it was on Facebook!

It's really great that there are so many helpful people out there, found a few on the Sokcho Select page that have told me a good deal of info.

Tigerstyle, is Pusan really that crappy? Now that I've realized just how hard it is to be placed in Sokcho I'm trying to figure out options that may be close to that.

Its just one huge Ghetto with a capital G.

I think you'd be happier in Japan.
