Haha, good point.

The soju hazing certainly isn't limited to men, I've seen corporate females push the younger office ladies to drink until they threw up at company dinners too.

I find doing things that females appreciate incredibly boring and life numbing.

Also, this is the first time I've seen a thread reach page two without a bitter argument!

This is scary.

This means we might actually be on to something here.

I'm really thinking that the University programs in Domesticity or Paternal Homemaking might go somewhere.

Allow me to summarize the article: the modern social system demands docility, and women are generally better than men at that. (Though the guys here who want to be house husbands might give them a run for their money.)

Also better at socializing, and more clever, i.e., more adept at small matters.

Yes, the article mentioned those things, and I can see how they relate to success on the modern scene. I think that in that sense (of concerning themselves with small matters) women are more realistic and rational than men, who are more idealistic and heroic and/or foolhardy. A woman, for instance, is less apt to think of climbing Mt. Everest as a worthy deed, or less likely to think of honour as a thing worth preserving at great practical cost. Again, this suits her well to modern life.

I say let the women take over all civilization. We men have done a pretty terrible job the last ten thousand or so years...

What we are really talking about here is feminine vs masculine qualities. Not really women vs men. It is first stage masculine qualities that stuff up the planet, not men. If us guys evolve we can also learn feminine qualities which makes us second stage masculine. Third stage masculine is fully intergrated and a positive force in the world.

Its true that most females have feminine qualities so we associate them with being caring and such , but a women like that Rice lady who served with Bush was very masculine and aggresive and would start a war just like any first stage male.

I'm intrigued as to why you think a really masculine man must necessarily be a negative force, and that the only positive traits are feminine.

How about courage, leadership, strength, fatherliness, brotherliness, responsibility, decisiveness, protectiveness, etc. These are all ideal masculine traits that are entirely positive.

That is very true (though I believe that responsibility and protectiveness are both a masculine and feminine trait).

If we could figure out a way for the world to run on the positives of both masculine and feminine qualities, then I think it would be great.

Yes. And women have government jobs. This works until it doesn't.

Well they (women) can't screw up the world any worse than we men did after being in charge for so long.... Laughing

Let them have a crack at it.
