I tried calling the pension office but they weren't much help / couldn't understand the question. Has anyone tried to withdraw money from their pension? Can anyone describe how they did it? Or is the full refund when you leave Korea set in stone?

I've got a family issue and I need some extra cash. I just don't have enough on hand to deal with it. If they do let me withdraw, it'd be a small amount of the total and well under 50%. In the meantime, I'm trying to see how much money I can pull together other ways

As I am aware, you have to be leaving the country. I had to show my itinerary to get my refund once before.

Refund only, as per the treaty.

You MUST be leaving (hand in your ARC before they forward the refund) and have an exit ticket to make the application.

You'll need another way to raise your cash to deal with your family problem.
