This topic came up in another thread.
We know the fed crc goes into effect Jan 1. However, some are saying a fed crc will be required as of Sept. 1 for LoR xfers only.
Different people have called immi and apparently gotten different answers: some yes, some no. There may be no real way to answer this until the first of the month, but I want to leave this thread open for any further information that may be gathered on the subject.

As to my knowledge, you will not need to submit a federal crc if you transfer your visa after sept. 1- the end of the year. The Fed CRC comes into effect on Jan. 1 2011. However, if you want to transfer your visa after sept 1 you must submit a nortorized copy of your degree. No norotrized copy then no transfer. |

Anyone done a transfer since September 1st?
If you submitted a federal CRC when you first got the E2 (with the original employer) do you still need a new CRC to transfer? Obviously if someone is transferring, then they've been here more than 6 months and any copies of CRC they brought with them would be useless.
So... to transfer before a 12 month contract finishes but after completing 6 months, with a LOR from the original employer, do you need CRC (national or otherwise) to do the transfer? |
