Anyone like any particular stores in Seoul for buying Docker/St. Johns Bay style pants? I'm a size 38 in the US. Itawaen prices always seem really high to me. Maybe I just missed the good rack at EMart but what I did see was just under my size in many cases......
Thanks.

Sorry, I think I gave the wrong impression - I haven't seen 38's in Itaewon just prices which always seem ridiculously high to me. I saw some size 38's (more or less) in Emart but the style was horrible.

I bought a couple of shirts in Namdemun (?) at the big outdoor clothing market which were good deals and didn't look weird to me.

I'm trying to decide on whether to mail order something from the States or just put up with what I can find here? Also - I'm possibly just looking in the wrong places......

GMarket plus size section. I used to be a 34 waist and that was considered plus size (wow!)

The quality is average, but the price is usually pretty good, say around 10-20 per pair of pants. Sometimes lower.

Buy one pair from three sellers. Usually 1 of the three should turn out really good with the others at least being worth your money. In the worst case one pair may not be good, but it won't hurt your wallet too much.

I haven't seen any of them pants, but there are cheap khaki trousers you take to a small shop for hemming. I too like the same pants as OP, but can't find anywhere other than Gmarket lists them for fairly high prices. Paypal is no longer accepted and checkout doesn't make sense to complete an order so Gmarket is no longer convenient to use. Maybe you can figure out how to checkout and then do a bank transfer? I'm not very good with that web design and point of sale system they use, but was using it with Paypal last Spring.

Just do the account transfer. It's pretty simple- You do your order, they give you an account to transfer it to and you go and do it.

I do remember the number they give you being located on some weird part of the page.

Plus its all in English now so it shouldn't be too much hassle.

That or get a Korean credit card, download the NPIK V3 nonsense and rack up a month's salary's worth of charges in no time.

Yeah, I think you can find larger sizes in Itaewon but I'm often a bit surprised at the prices there. Honestly, I'm a bit shocked when I see people who appear to be tourists there shopping. Shirts, at least, are like 4x's more expensive in Itaweon than Namdemun (sp?).

There is probably a vending machine in Tokyo for that.

Sorry, couldn't resist; in England pants means underwear.

I'm a larger guy and Itaewon is a Godsend to me.

Good friendly service and okay prices.

Just curious if you found a particular store in Itaewon with good prices. When I was pricing shirts there I saw a lot of 50K Won pricing or higher for basic shirts - Namdemun (sp?) was 10-12K for basically the same shirt.

Any ideas?
