|

So I'm leaving for the airport (to Korea) in a few hours. I have to be there 3 hours early and have a long plane ride ahead of me.
I have been so excited for the last few months, but all of a sudden I am nervous and feel like everything I have researched is going out of my head.
Any last suggestions/tips for my arrival at Incheon airport and my city of Gwangmyeong? (things to do at the airport or words of advice?)
Thanks a bunch! |

Check out the tourist info counter and get some maps in ENGLISH (of Seoul and Korea). This could be the last time you have access to these.
Also, get plenty of emergency money at the airport. You will have trouble cashing travellers' cheques in Korea - and you may also have problems with banking (or your cards) in a small town/city.
Good luck. |

join the gwangmyeong teachers group on facebook for events in town or to put names to faces that you will see around town.
i believe the bus you take from the airport to get to gwangmyeong is the 6014, but double check when you get there. The info desk at the bus terminal will sell you tickets and tell you the right bus. They should at least speak some basic english. Good luck. |

Relax; Korea is a pretty easy place to live.
Open your mind at least one more notch than you're comfortable with.
Change your money at Incheon (hopefully you didn't already do it in your home country).
Make sure you have enough sleeping pills and/or entertainment for the plane. |

At least you are arriving at a better time then I did. I came at the beginning of Jan and had to endure the harsh cold the first couple of weeks.
I hope it clears off and stops raining by the time you get here. We had a pretty good size storm last night. |
