Has anyone on here ever gotten a Korean criminal record check? (I have been here for 3 years)
Where/How can I do this? Local police station? 'Gu' police station?
Bring my passport, ARC, and...photos...and...?
How long does it take to receive?
Advice please and thank you. |

Yes I have. Go to one of the main police stations. Bring your ARC Card and passport. It takes 15 or 20 mins. |

Yes I have. Three years ago in a tiny town near Chirisan in Kyongsangnamdo. It was for public school. The Supervisor of the district told all teachers to do so, suddenly, just his whim. This was about the time of the FT who taught in Korea and then was caught in Thailand, something about child abuse I don't recall exactly. Anyway, it was actually very enjoyable and amusing getting the Korean CRC. The cops, detectives, thought this lark was hilarious and were very friendly in their communal office, kind of a Korean Barney Miller TV show. Got fingerprinted. Did I want some kaw-pi? Had my passport with the E2 in it. |

Is it possible for me to get a Korean criminal record check in English?
Does anyone know if there is a particular station that would provide me with English documentation of the criminal record check?
I was told that the criminal record check would also have to be notarized. How would I get a Korean document notarized? Would I get a Korean notary to notarize it? Would I ask my embassy?
Any help or suggestions would really be appreciated. |

These idiots amaze me that they can't figure out that if we DO have a criminal record here, then we would either be in jail or deported. In all my time here I've never heard of any foreigners getting arrested, released and then going back to work without leaving the country for a few years. UNLESS they have changed citizenship status. |

How many Jrocks are on this site? It's getting pretty crowded in here. |
