I know this has bee probably asked before, but if I give the pension office all of my account details in Canada and show the pension office a one way ticket out of Korea to a different country, such as Thailand, then return to Korea a week later with a tourist visa. Will they still process your pension and put the money in your account my account in Canada?

YES.

As long as your ARC was turned in (or visa expired/canceled, etc).

Does the school need to cancel my visa? Can I cancel it myself? They already said they would provide me with a letter of release. However, the letter is basically useless because I don't have a notorized copy of my degree yet.

As long as you hand in your ARC as you pass through passport control on your way through the airport you will be fine.

I called the pension office. They said to provide a copy of a one way flight out of Korea ARC and passport and banking information. My employer is ending my contract early so this may pose a problem. If I submit a letter of release to immigration with an exit order that should be enough proof to show them I am leaving Korea, right?

Also they said I had two options.

1 give them my Canadian bank info and they will tranfer the funds.
2. I have the option of taking a cash lumpsum at the airport. ( this one surprized me)
