I had to create my boyfriend's account this morning, so I went ahead and made an illustrated guide while I was at it. The process is quick (about 10-15 min) and painless. My guide assumes that you have an ARC and will be using a cellular phone to receive your confirmation number.

Note: this is only for foreigners who are currently IN Korea.

Excellent stuff, but I do have a question. What can we use a naver account for? I use naver maps, weather, and budongsan, but I've never needed an account for these.

Cheers Very Happy

Out of curiosity, how long is your name? I didn't check the max length that it would accept, but I had no problem entering in my 21 character name.

Eh, it's certainly not necessary, but I thought it would be nice to use the cafs and social networking features while I learn Korean. I've been told you need a membership to access most Naver hosted sites as well (like the Korean geo-caching club). Smile
