Is this done? My boss is taking us all out to dinner and I think they get something for us. I have a good relationship with all the Korean staff and am wondering if I should get them something, and if so, what?
My idea is to have a Korean friend help me write personalized notes to them in Korean and leave them in the office so they only see the note after I leave.
Anyway, let me know if you've had to deal with this before in Korea, not sure what the practice is here, only familiar with what it is in the US. |

If you have w20,000 to spare, I would recommend just buying one of those cookie gift sets from Paris Baguette and putting it in the staff room with a thank you note.
The personalized notes are a nice idea if you're good friends with them. They'll appreciate the attention, as would anyone! |

I took a duke outside the VP's office.
But really, you don't have to get anything. If you want to, great, but it's not necessary. |

Pizza for staff is a nice idea. And your notes idea is a nice touch.
I've never heard of anyone giving gifts or something when they leave though. If you're moving somewhere else in K-land and need a reference or something then I understand but if not, your good relationship and year(s) of service is enough. |

You can give gifts but it's not a mandatory thing. You should have some idea what people like/eat/drink/wear by now. If you make it something personal it'll be special. |

the big disappointment was her steadfast refusal for some HRA.... anyone familiar with the morning team on WRIF knows what that is... |
