The nat. parks in Thailand are great- usually fairly inexpensive way to enjoy wild scenery, peace and quiet- and offer a good range of guided tour experiences... canoeing, caving etc..

I was at khao sok, enjoying a good conversation with some Dutchies and Canadians, when one guy was trying to impress this blonde dutch girl there.. I noticed a massive spider about the size of your hand hanging around in the corner. After confirming it was non- poisonous with the tour guide, i proceded to let it walk up my arm and along my shoulders- quite a feat for an anachrophobe like me. I dared him to do it, it took him about 10 minutes of psycheing himself up to let this multicolored insect crawl over him...heheh...
