None. I'm old school but I did like seeing Razor mentioned earlier

I heard that it's really good, too, must make of download. Opinions on the new Burzum?

Older stuff. Maiden, Priest, Accept, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, Dio, Sabbath, Raven, Queensryche, Crimson Glory, Helloween, UFO, Helix, Triumph, Grave Digger, Overdrive, Saxon, Dark Star, More, Rainbow, Candlemass, Vicious Rumors, Armoured Saint, Savatage, Metal Church, Axe etc.

Incidently, I was going to see Sodom but I decided to relocate a few weeks before the show. Thrash is ok. I love Overkill and enjoy Sacrifice, Testament, Venom, Kreator, Meliah Rage, Megadeth etc.

Yeah I like most genres, heavy/speed/power (I like cheese), thrash, doom, black - the only one I hate is death metal, dull riffs, dull vocals, too many blastbeats and clicky drums etc. I'm fussy with metal, thankfully there's a ton to choose from.

But yeah, summer + booze = lots of thrash metal.

Alcest - Ecailles de Lune

Feel like a total IDIOT for not remembering that Alcest was going to release something new in 2010. The second after I read your post I went and got it, and listened to it a few times today. Neige is such a talented guy, and I've enjoyed his work in Peste Noire and Amesoeurs very, very much.

I really hate Black Metal but have an interest in the history of Mayhem.

Check out this multi-part video

Check out "Until the light takes us " for a history of Black Metal too.

SOD isn't metal, it's crossover.

Some albums that have been on constant rotation lately:

Inquisition - Invoking The Majestic Throne Of Satan, incredibly sick yet unique black metal from Colombia, they have a new album coming out very soon, got it on order already, this band absolutely slays.

Summoning - Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame, excellent atmospheric Tolkien worship.

Virgin Steele - The House Of Atreus Vol. 1, not a big fan of power metal but this is just too good not to listen to, haven't heard too many good things about their latest album though.

Got Hooded Menace's latest album, Never Cross The Dead, not sure what to think so far, it's death/doom metal, think Autopsy but more horror movie-themed, will give it a proper listening to later.

Napalm Death, Pantera, and Testament get regular spins at my place!

I've been listening to some Exciter and Annihilator lately. Didn't know Canada had it so good! Any other great Canadian metal I should be checking out.

Best Canadian thrash band is Razor for sure, and well worth checking out. Not a fan of death metal, but for black/war metal you should check out Blasphemy, and for somewhat underground but good black metal I'd recommend Weapon.

Razor:

Blasphemy:

Hey, I just moved to the Seoul area. Do any of you live around here? Are there ever any metal shows in Seoul? I think I saw online that there was a black metal band from Seoul, but I forgot to check them out.
