I don't want to deal with a doctor's visit and language barriers when I know precisely what I need and how much of it.

do they run the same must see doctor racket for everythying here as in the US?

I tried using the Search function on this board and various word combinations on Google with no results.

For antibiotics you "legally" need a visit to a doctor.

Occasionally you MAY find a pharmacy who will sell antibiotics without prescription but they are few and far between.

If you have NHIC and don't go to an "international" clinic the visit will cost you 5k won or less.

If you don't have NHIC it will cost about 10k won at your average small hospital/clinic (look for the green crosses).

If you go to an international clinic or a major hospital it will cost you about 50k won + any tests they want to run.

I have NHIC, what concerns me are the language barrier and my medical privacy, not necessarily in that order.
