My apartment needs a clean more thorough than what I can give it. Anyone know a cleaning service I could call to give it a good once-over? I'm in Incheon. |

I know what you mean! When I got here, my apartment was pretty filthy. (I have only been in mine for almost a week.) I just went to Home Plus and got a few cleaners and put some elbow grease into things. When I first walked into the bathroom, this horrible smell emanated from it, and it wasn't that horrible sewer smell that people have mentioned on this board. It was something else, not a mold smell either. The wall paper is filthy too, but I have no idea what to do with that.
Do you and/or anyone else know where I can find baking soda? I have walked around Home Plus twice, and cannot seem to find it. |

My Home Plus has a baking section (by the wall of various salts and spices) and had baking soda, powder and some other hard to find items like chocolate chip cookies.
I have found boxes of Arm & Hammer baking soda at E-Mart in the home goods section. They even carry a special cylinder that clips on the wall/door of your fridge to keep the smells down. It was about 4,000won, but well worth it.
Worst case scenario, check out the foreign market in Itaewon. They carry Arm & Hammer as well. If you've never been you can use the map for What the Book! as it's located right next door. On the map below it's the 'old' location.
