I have a dehumidifier in home. |
I need to get me one of those. I just love it when I go away for the weekend and come home to a moldy smelling apartment. When can I pick one up? HomePlus / EMart ? |

It's been a tough 'summer'. Rain, heat, humidity, fungal infections, breathlessness, rain soakings/drenchings, mould everywhere, electronics dying and constant problems with computers' electrical supply etc. To add insult to injury, the lake is high, the water is dirty, and the bass aren't bitn' (they're fed up). Roll on Fall. |

Typhoon still expected to hit Seoul directly via Incheon Thursday.
Chuseok is much earlier this year and the weather will still be hot. |

Down here in Busan I think it's been hot, but at least it hasn't pissed rain all summer like it did last year. That really sucked.
I have lost all faith in the forecasts, I look at the forecasts but they always seem wrong. |

I don't remember the sticky humid warm air lasting this long. It usually breaks late August, but it's soon to be September first and still a bit tropical. I can't wait for some dry air. |

Seoul Suffers Wettest August in 100 Years
Heavy downpours drenched the central regions on Sunday, with up to 30 mm of rainfall per hour in the metropolitan region and South Chungcheong province inundating homes and agricultural land.
The Korea Meteorological Agency said Seoul had the most frequent rains in August this year since observations began in 1908. Seoul saw 594.2 mm of precipitation over 22 days in August, over 1.7 times more than the average of 348 mm for 1973 to 2000. The nation as a whole got 350.2 mm, some 1.4 times more than the previous average of 243.3 mm.
August registered more precipitation than June and July, the traditional wet season, combined. Some 335.5 mm of rain fell in June and July.
Seoul registered 594.2 mm of rain in August, 1.6 times more than the 366.8 mm for the previous two months combined.
