What are the national holidays in Korea? Half term?

Hi,

Do they have holidays as we do in Blighty?

Half term, end of term, national holidays?

I have absolutely no idea Embarassed

Yes, they have mid year breaks ( 4-5 weeks in summer) and end of year breaks (5-8 weeks in winter).

Will you get them = no.

If you work at a hagwan you will typically get 10 days that are NOT during the public school breaks (busy time for language academies).

If you work at a public school you will get your 2 weeks during the school break and spend the rest of the time either doing "day camps" or just warming your desk chair.

There are typically 15 or so national holidays during the year. You should have them off.

Do be aware that if they fall on a weekend you do not get extra time off during the week - you just lose them (since it is your regular day off anyway). They do not move them to the following weekday if they fall on a weekend.
