I was questioning the journalist on that particular issue. Not Yuna. The journalist seems like one of those ultraproud 'hoorah' Koreans. Koreans are always being cheated by dirty HIV foreigners.

Another part that made me laugh. It basically says Yuna is Orser's employer. True to a point, but what about Korea's supposed great respect for teachers?

A public school teacher is different than a sports instructor. For example a TWD instructor is called Sabonim as opposed to Sonsangnim for a public school teacher. Besides which she is the employer as well so it's also different. And why is Yuna supposed to represent all of Korea's respect for teachers?

Its freakin figure skating. Orser said the song name and said its a very good routine. Its not like its the NFL and he gave away plays and formations and now the other figure skaters will be able to set up their defenses accordingly.

Yep, keep talking about things you have no clue about. What Brian Orser did (revealing the song name) is a big no-no in figure skating. It's sort of a unwritten rule. Even the choreographer questioned Orser's motive for revealing the song, obviously without Yuna's permission.

But no everything must be the Korean mother's fault and her "cash-cow-cum-daughter" (Greekfreak's eloquent words).

Glad someone else noticed..

Big no no or not, please explain how knowing this information will affect the outcome whatsoever. I have seen figure skating on tv and the announcers know the song name before the skater starts. So are they also betraying the skater by telling the viewers at home the song title?

Its basically a very unarticulate opinion piece.

Unarticulate? The irony is delicious.

I wonder what the Korean press would write about the moms involved? The moms are pretty hard on their kids from what I hear.

I'm glad Kim is going to continue training outside of Korea and kept some of her Canadian coaches. I imagine it'd be pretty suffocating for her to train in SK alone.

Songs to figure skating routines get in the news months before the actual routine hits the ice. I ran across Asada's weeks ago just skimming the sports news on the web.

Actually Brian Orser is very well known and respected in the figure staking community. He was huge in the 80's as a male figure skater having a huge rivilry with Brian Boitano.

so Brian Orser has been in the spot light as a skater and now coach from the early 80's until now. YUNA has been famous for a few years, thanks to Orser.

Yuna's next competition will make or break her. if she wins, they can then stomp on Orser verbally. 'It was all Kim. She didn't need him.' If she lose, there's ging to be hell to pay.

I hope she falls on her flat unbubbly butt on the ice. Mostly to spite her mom.

For months before Vancouver, Yuna was being referred to as 'Bond Girl.' I thought she had been considered for casting, but it was the name of her routine. No secret there.

It doesn't matter, Yuna has won a gold. If she wins another gold great, if not she's still an Olympic champ. A lot of figure skaters go pro, to make some money, right after a gold medal. Yuna has the luxury of not having to go pro and is only 19 to boot.

As for Orser, he's never won an Olympic gold. He was 26 before he even came close to a gold. Aside from the adjuma factor, as mentioned before, it's also a teacher now being second fiddle to the student.

Yuna may be a somebody..hell, she is a deity...in Korea. But outside Korea, nobody would notice her walking down the street. She would look like any other Asian exchange student. Agreed, Orser was a somebody before Yuna became a goddess to Korean nationalism.

On the issue of speaking about Yun-ah's new routene. I'm guessing Orser had other lucritive job offers that he turned down waiting for work with Kim Yun-ah to restart. He was unexpectedly fired and was a little bit upset with the Ajumma for not at least letting him know in advance. The Ajumma shouldn't have been keeping him in the dark and stringing him along like that. They cost him, so perhaps he felt it only fair to return the courtesy.

Either that or simply a troll.

I'm just surprised that mods didn't ban that troll's ass.

Actually more than 1000 people would tune into figure skating during the olympics or world championships. Fugure skating is one of the most viewed sports at the olympics, so it's watched by tens of millions, probably close to 100 million+. so Brian was very well known in those days.
who is Brian Boitano? why don't you use Wikipages and read up on him.

Kim yuna is famous in Korea and known in the figure skating circles. Everyone rememebers the champion.
Brian Orser was known as a skater and is now known as a coach.
If you ask me he has proved himself very well.
