Not bad. Saw it last night. Actually it was supposed to start tonight, but for some reason they were showing it early. Chinese people (mostly at least one young woman) were talking and laughing right at the beginning. I yelled out "STFU!!!!" Really thunderously. Don't do that. Jebus. Stupid people.
Anyway, I was confused throughout the whole thing. |

Great flick. It's actually very linear. Definitely rewards repeated viewing though. Some of the acting was bit wooden, but the concepts were striking and the effects were superlative. Highly recommend it to all. |

I liked it but the ending was predicted within the first 7 minutes of the film. Which is very disappointing.
It was pretty darn easy to follow I thought, it's only 3 layers of time.
I found although a lot of it was the typical Hollywood clich movie devices for suspense etc, it stayed clear of a full on romantic happening from two unlikely people who just happen to rescue each other in some way and fall in love for no other reasson. For this alone I give it credit points.
I disagree with the absolute constant energy. There was enough to power a small city in that film and it sacrifices a lot to achieve it. As in, it sacrifices variety. There's about one calm moment for a couple of minutes, which gives you about 30 seconds to actually digest the story, and then a super thunderstorm of death takes you away before you can really appreciate it.
At least with, say, the matrix it had down time scattered wherever it was needed. This was just go! go! go!
Character development was basically entirely lacking other than DiCaprio. Any attempts outside of him failed, in my eyes.
Still, cool concept and good effects and although I don't agree with the energy, it was pretty exciting. Then again so was 2012, and look at that film. |

I was on googlevideo looking up 'mass hypnosis', 'social engineering', then 'neurolinguistic programming' and came across this, an expert on NLP talking about, in three ten minute youtube videos, the movie Inception and its use of NLP and hypnosis.

Best Picture material all the way, it's a shame it's too exciting to get a serious nod, though.
Still, one of the best movies I've seen, really made you think and it took the audience seriously instead of dumbing it down and explaining everything as it was happening, a trait that Hollywood loves to do exploit these days. |

Thought the movie was totally predictable and I felt stressed most of the way through because I knew I would have to sit through three times the regular amount of crisis development and denouement. |

Yeah another good point on its downfall. Though I didn't feel stressed. Just slightly exasperated at times. |

There weren't enough dreams within dreams. Should've been 15 or 30 more. |

It was OK. I actually fell asleep during some of the action sequences and did wake up missing some of the plot with the "3 layers of time" device, but I still got the gist of the movie. |

I got bored and left, just watching action without having to think bores me.
I can watch an action film like Heat, because you can think about the situation.
Movies like Inception or Matrix, I find just boring. Actually a few days ago I was watching the old Steven Seagal movie, Above the Law, and I found it more entertaining than Inception. |

You have to think about Seagull movies, but not Matrix or Inception?
Why did you pay good money to see inception, assuming you knew the premise, only to leave halfway through? |

Lame film.
Nolan a good technician but too much steady cam, cgi overload, ultra fast cut induced nasea led me wishing it was over long before the end which it so unsubtley rushed towards without a pause or breather.
Is it a dream of a dream in his dream or her dream or....
I don't care coz I'm off to watch 'Talk to her.' |
